Hi Everyone,
I'm so sorry I haven't written lately but it has been so busy here in Stratford! First it was Mom's birthday, then my birthday, and in around these we have had lots of company come to visit, the Stratford Fall Fair was on, then Savour Stratford (and yes we ate waaaaaay too much there -- but I'll tell you all about it in an upcoming blog), a play at the St. Jacobs Playhouse, visiting the St. Jacobs Farmers Market, and now it is Thanksgiving! And to boot, this weekend is the first time that the family has a table at the Stratford Farmers Market!
We have finally got ourselves organized to have a booth at the Market and we can't wait! Dawna is selling some of her beautiful sculptures (start thinking Christmas -- I know, I know, but it is right around the corner). She will also be selling her exquisite hand-carved antler, walnut and soapstone pendants. In addition, Dawna and Holley will be showing their line designs which are really unique, colourful and have an environmental flair to them. Mom has designed beautiful necklaces -- so ladies, come on down! Holley and I will be selling our spa products -- sugar body scrub, bath salts, body lotion, liquid hand soaps and our infamous headache balm. After some nice remarks from all of you, I have decided to also sell some of my photo cards -- I hope you like them.
So we will be at the market by 6 a.m. -- hope to see you there -- perhaps not quite that early, remember it is open till noon. Thankfully, we remembered to buy our turkey yesterday as I am sure tomorrow afternoon we will be too exhausted to go out -- at least I will be snoozing!
So if you are in the area, or decide to go for a nice drive in the country -- the colours of the trees here are absolutely beautiful, then please try and pop by the Farmers' Market and come say Howdy! We'd love to see you or meet you -- you'll recognize us, the ones with the eyes half open.
Happy Thanksgiving and remember, this is the special time of the year to be thankful but we need to be thankful all year for all of our blessings!
Cheers for now!
Heather
